Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 has introduced significant changes regarding the labeling of allergenic fragrances in cosmetic products. As of August 15, 2023, the number of substances required to be declared on labels has increased from 24 to 80. A transition period has been established, requiring new products placed on the market to comply starting August 1, 2026, while non-compliant products must be withdrawn by July 31, 2028.

This measure represents a significant step toward consumer protection, ensuring greater transparency and enabling more informed choices. Contact allergy can occur even at low allergen concentrations, making the correct identification of ingredients essential.
