The promotion of nutraceutical products is strictly regulated by Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006, which allows the exclusive use of previously authorized nutritional and health claims. This regulatory framework limits companies in the promotional communication of their products, binding them to the use of approved claims supported by recognized scientific evidence.
During the webinar, the different types of claims provided for by the current legislation will be illustrated, and it will be explained why, despite legal limitations, it is strategically advantageous for a company to invest in clinical studies. Furthermore, references will be made to clinical studies conducted in the nutraceutical sector, highlighting their importance.
The webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the strategies that nutraceutical companies can adopt to effectively navigate the complex regulatory landscape, using clinical research as a tool to gain a competitive advantage and ensure safe and effective products for consumers.
