Efficacy of a food supplement to improve gastroesophageal reflux disease

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a food supplement containing a probiotic strain, bioactive peptides, and vitamins in relieving heartburn/dyspeptic symptoms in subjects with mild-to-moderate GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
Subjects were recruited from the Complife database via the Short-Form Leeds Dyspepsia Questionnaire and subsequently included in the study using the GER-Q questionnaire and clinical evaluation by the Gastroenterologist. The efficacy of the product was evaluated on the basis of the clinical results and the answers given to the subjects’ Quality of Life questionnaires.
In COMPLIFE laboratories, we work to prove the tolerability, safety and efficacy of products, as well as their chemical and microbiological characteristics.
For the Nutraceuticals market we want to become a reference point for testing the safety and efficacy of products, thanks to the strategic location of our labs that allows a solid volunteer base with different skin types and to our specialized professional network, that can support you with a market-focused advice.
