This webinar aims to highlight procedure of quantification of mercury traces in cosmetic products by using direct solid analysis with no need of digestion or by CV-AAS that requires acid digestion of samples.

The need to check for mercury contamination fulfils the safety requirements to which cosmetic products must adhere and which require the absence of this metal (Annex II/ 221) except when present as a component of certain eye area preservatives (Annex V)
