In this webinar we will talk about the evaluation of the effectiveness of sunscreen products in the main markets.

The evaluation of the efficacy of sunscreen products is carried out according to standardised methods, but these differ in the different world markets, complicating the management of the relevant tests by cosmetic companies.

 

These differences, which also reflect the different regulatory status of the product (cosmetic, OTC, special use cosmetic, etc.), complicate the management of testing for companies from both a management and economic perspective.

 

In this webinar we will identify the common points of the different methods in order to implement a correct testing strategy. We will also discuss two new alternative methods to the in vivo SPF test, namely “The In Vitro ‘Double Plate’ Method (ISO Committee Draft 23675)” and “Hybrid Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy or HDRS (ISO Committee Draft 23698)”.
