Single Application Irritation Patch Test (4h/24h/48h):
The single application irritation patch test is aimed to assess the incidence of skin irritation which may be induced by the test product when applied on the skin up to 4 hours, 24 hours or 48 hours, depending on the product typology. The test is carried out on healthy subjects under occlusive/semi-occlusive/open conditions, basing on the chemical-physical characteristics and the intended use of the product. Skin reactions (redness and swelling) are assessed by a highly trained assessor (dermatologist) up to 24 hours after patch removal.
