Information about cookies and other tracking technologies
PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
This Cookie Policy has been prepared for www.volontaires-complife.com (the “Site”). It explains which cookies and other tracking technologies may be used, their purposes, their retention periods, and how users can make or change their choices.
This Policy has been prepared in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), in particular Articles 4(11), 7, 12 and 13, Article 82 of French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended (the “French Data Protection Act”), and the CNIL guidelines and recommendation on cookies and other tracking technologies.
Complife France SAS with its registred office in Le Quadrille, 18 rue Jacqueline Auriol – 69008, Lyon, email france@complifegroup.com is the publisher of the Site and the data controller for the processing described in this Policy, subject to the allocation of roles applicable to third-party services.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This Policy reflects the declared configuration of the Site on the date shown above. The list of tracking technologies must be checked whenever the Site is changed, a Wix application or third-party service is added, or the relevant settings are modified.
WHAT IS A COOKIE
A cookie is a small file or another tracking technology stored on, or read from, a user’s device when an online service is accessed. It may enable the Site to function, remember preferences, measure audience activity, or personalise content and advertising. Some tracking technologies are placed by the Site publisher and others by third-party providers.
WHO USES COOKIES
Cookies may be placed or read by the data controller, by Wix as part of its technical infrastructure, or by third-party providers whose services are actually integrated into the Site. Depending on their respective purposes, these third parties may act as processors or as separate data controllers.
COOKIE CATEGORIES AND PURPOSES
The tracking technologies used on the Site fall into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies: these enable or facilitate electronic communications or are essential to provide a service expressly requested by the user. Under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, they do not require consent, but users must be informed about their use.
• Audience measurement cookies: these are used to produce statistics about visits to and use of the Site. Unless a specific configuration meets all the exemption criteria defined by the CNIL, they are placed only after the user has given consent.
• Advertising and personalisation cookies: these are used to measure campaigns, personalise advertising, or carry out retargeting. They are placed only after the user has given consent.
LEGAL FRAMEWORK
Strictly necessary cookies may be used without prior consent within the limits set by Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act. Any other tracking technology requires the user’s prior, freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent. Failure to make a choice, continuing to browse, or closing the banner does not constitute consent.
OBTAINING AND MANAGING CONSENT
On the first visit, users can accept all non-essential cookies, reject them all, or make a choice by purpose. Refusal does not prevent access to the Site’s main content, although some optional features may be unavailable.
The Site displays a consent-management banner before any non-essential tracking technology is placed or read.
The banner allows users to:
- access clear information about the purposes of the tracking technologies and this Policy;
- accept all non-essential tracking technologies;
- reject all non-essential tracking technologies with the same degree of ease;
- customise their choices by purpose and save them.
The user’s choice, whether consent or refusal, is stored so that the user is not asked again on every page. The user may be asked again in particular:
- when the purposes or conditions of processing change significantly;
- when the Site cannot recognise the choice previously stored;
- when the retention period for the choice expires, set at six months in accordance with the general good practice recommended by the CNIL.

CHANGING COOKIE PREFERENCES ON THE SITE
Users may open the “Manage cookies” module available on the Site at any time to change their choices or withdraw consent as easily as they gave it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
MANAGING COOKIES IN THE BROWSER
Users may also manage or delete cookies through their browser settings. These settings may allow cookies already stored on the device to be blocked or erased.
Blocking or deleting certain strictly necessary cookies may impair the operation, quality or availability of some Site features.
Browser settings do not replace the consent-management module available directly on the Site.
DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS
Where information obtained through tracking technologies constitutes personal data, users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection under the GDPR and, where applicable, their right to data portability.
Requests may be sent to the data controller:
by post: Complife France SAS
by email: volontaires@complifegroup.com
Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, “CNIL”), including through www.cnil.fr.
UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
The data controller may amend this Policy to reflect legal, regulatory, technical or functional developments. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the document.
If a change affects the purposes of the tracking technologies or the validity of consent already obtained, users will be informed and asked to make a new choice where necessary.
